the summer of 1987 "World Of Wheels" (Canada's Auto Magazine)
conducted
a reader survey entitled "MY FAVOURITE CAR". Then in their
fall issue
they published the following.
From Beetles to Buicks. Ambassadors to
Model As, our readers love their
cars. We asked
you to tell us about your favourite
car and your
response was overwhelming. The
love affair
with the automobile is far from
dead...
Here's what Bud had to say:
Without any doubt, a Matador Red 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air convertible.
Ever since
high school graduation in 1958, I have dreamed of the day I
would
own a pristine model of this ever popular Chevy.
The pain has been eased somewhat by the acquisition of three other very
fine original
or original-restored Classic Chevies, one each 1955, '56 and '57.
However, the dream lives on and I will continue my search for this elusive
gem.

(Editor's note: Some guys are never satisfied. Bud's three
fine cars
have
won dozens of trophies in car show competition and have been
featured
in magazine and newspaper stories. His '56 Sport Coupe is
recognized
as one of the finest of its breed in north America.)
